Same old, same old from Obama tonight?

At the presidential debate tonight in Denver, Mitt Romney is a strong challenger to President Barack Obama. Romney’s post on facebook at about 8:30 a.m. today garnered hundreds of “likes” in just a few minutes. What he says rings true to lots of people.

Romney said, “Under President Obama, 196,688 new people are on food stamps in Colorado. We shouldn’t measure compassion by how many people are on welfare or receiving food stamps. We should measure compassion by how many people are able to get off and get a good paying job.”

If Obama uses the same old, same old recycled rhetoric tonight, Americans should see it for what it is. It’s a broken record. Continue reading

Obama should have told the children

President Obama’s back-to-school speech on Sept. 28 to the nation’s children covered what many educators and parents say themselves. Obama said students should “discover new passions,” study hard, do their homework, get to bed early so they can wake up on time, and acquire the skills to pursue their passions.

Despite the fact that Obama’s little chat for the third year in a row took kids away from their studies in school to hear him, I cannot argue with the messages he gave. However, with his smiling face time before U.S. children, he failed to tell them some hard facts.

Ken Buck and Cory Gardner best choices

Voters, remember this “crap” as CNN’s Jack Cafferty called the lack of openness and honesty in the Democrat-controlled Obamacare legislative process. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said, “There’s never been a more honest, more open process for any legislation” than with Obamacare.

Pelosi and all Democrats who participated need to know the real definition of words. America deserves better. It’s time for Ken Buck and Cory Gardner to replace Democrats Michael Bennet, the Colorado rubber-stamping senator of President Obama’s agenda, and Betsy Markey, from Colorado’s 4th Congressional District who voted against her constituents to side with Obama.
